Before the game at Khimki Arena, Lokomotiv and Dinamo were separated by only a point in the RPL table.

Therefore, Bozovic chose an unusual defense with Logashov, Corluka, Sheshukov and Denisov. On the other hand, Dinamo surprised everyone with Rotenberg, who has rarely played so far.
By the first minutes, Lokomotiv had immediately some chances. One of the most active players on the pitch was Boussoufa, who had the task of creating opportunities with Skuletic and Samedov.
'Biela-Galubye' tried playing with counterattacks and making a bit of pressure. However, Lokomotiv was saved first by Logashov, after a Guilherme's fault, and then by Sheshukov.
The first dangerous chance of Lokomotiv was made up by Samedov, whose kick was well-stopped by Gabulov. On the other side, Guilherme easily contained the attacks created by Kuranyi and Valbuena.
After 40 minutes Dinamo took the lead with Vainqueur, who scored with a beautiful shot.
Lokomotiv answered 4 mins later: Skuletic scored his second goal in our team and beat Gabulov for the 1:1.
The second half started unluckily for 'Railroaders'. Sheshukov made a foul on Zhirkov in the area and he was given a red card: Kuranyi scored the penalty. After the goal, the match became calmer and started being played more in the midfield. Lokomotiv continued attacking, especially after the substitution Skuletic-Pavlyuchenko.
After 75 mins, Shishkin was threw down by Buttner in the area and as consequence Bezborodov whistled another penalty. From the 11 meters, Pavlyuchenko hit the post but the referee whistled again a penalty due a hand touch of Kozlov. Fernandes didn't miss it and scored the 2:2.
At the end of the match, Dinamo tried scoring the third, also Dzsudzsak and Ionov entered on the pitch, but Valbuena hit the post with a marvelous free kick.
The game ended with a draw, with the two teams that showed a brilliant and interesting football.
