115 years ago, on September 21st 1899, in Saint Petersburg was born the legendary coach, on 1953-1957 and 1963-1965, of Lokomotiv, Boris Andreevich Arkadyev.
The name Boris Arkadyev is known by all interested in the local championship. The legendary coach that won several times the title, worked in the best clubs of Soviet Union, carrying with himself always something of new.
In Lokomotiv, Arkadyev worked two times - in the Fifties and Sixties - and in each time he created a strong and competitive team. As results, on 1957, "Railroaders" with Arkadyev won their second Soviet Cup, beating Spartak in the final in Moscow, while two years later, Loko arrived second in the league under the guide of Evgeniy Eliseev.
Boris Andreevich Arkadyev left a light track in the Russian football and in Lokomotiv, becoming particularly one the the most progressive and successful coach in Russia. Eternal glory to a great men and coach!
