Lokomotiv beat Mordoviya in the first week of Russian Premier League.
'Railroaders' opened the new season in Saransk, where according to the new limit, Cherevchenko could have included in the starting line-up only six foreign players. As a consequence, Lokomotiv's Head Coach had to face many problems. Furthermore, he also included in the squad Nicholas Kipiani, a talented midfielder from reserves team.
The game didn't start on high levels. Lokomotiv had to settle down into the synthetic pitch, while Mordoviya waited for the opponent's actions. Furthermore, Mordoviya's players weren't accurate and during the first half Lutsenko, Dudiev and Donald missed good chances.
After the break, there was a completely different match. 'Railroaders' started playing more fastly and creating more opportunities. 15 minutes later, Lokomotiv took the lead thanks to a Skuletic's header that beat Revishvili.
After 72 minutes, Maicon could have doubled the score, but the Brazilian forward missed a penalty gained by Pejcinovic.
In the final minutes, Mordoviya tried to draw the score, but they were also unlucky. Nakhushev hit the post and so Lokomotiv was able to win the first game of the season.
