After the heavy defeat against Apollon, Leonid Kuchuk made some changes in the first XI. Ilya Abaev changed Guilherme, while on the left back returned Vitaliy Denisov. Dmitry Tarasov was substituted by Yan Tigorev. In attack, Alan Kasaev and Manuel Fernandes are out, in Aleksander Samedov and Aleksey Miranchuk. As striker there is Roman Pavlyuchenko.
The game at Cherkizovo started with a dangerous free kick of Zenit: Hulk hit the external of the post.
